Chris Jansen, British Gas

Chris spent 7 years at Procter & Gamble in a variety of Sales & Marketing roles across the UK and Europe.

From P&G, Chris moved to British Airways where he worked from 2000 until 2007. Initially, he was responsible for the introduction of World Traveller Plus and New Club World across the British Airways network and for the successful relaunch of Concorde. Chris also ran the British Airways Executive Club and following this was made Managing Director of Airmiles in 2004.

Following 7 years at British Airways, Chris joined British Gas in November 2007. As the Group Commercial Director, Chris has responsibility for all sales, marketing, pricing, hedging and online activities across British Gas. Across 2009, British Gas increased its energy market share – the first growth for the Company in 6 years.

In May 2010, Chris was appointed Managing Director British Gas Services and Commercial. In addition to the British Gas Marketing and Sales activity, Chris has responsibility for the home services division covering four million customers with 10,000 engineers.

Chris lives in London, is married to Lucie and has three sons and a daughter.
