Sara is sales and marketing director for Merlin entertainment where she is tasked with building and delivering the product, brand, sales & marketing strategy for Merlin’s indoor attractions including cities (London, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh) coastal resorts (Brighton, Blackpool, Scarborough & more) for global brands LEGOland Discovery Centres, Sealife, Dungeons, Tussauds and UK London Eye, Dreamworks Shrek’s Adventure & Blackpool Tower. This is Merlin’s second biggest business and largest Ebitda generator.
Sara has deep experience of global and UK markets from the world’s biggest content & franchise brands. Prior to joining Merlin Sara was digital marketing director in LEGO’s marketing and product development team & VP Franchise Marketing & Digital Planning at BBC Worldwide. This included BBC Earth, BBC natural history programmes, Doctor Who & Top Gear. She has consistently created innovative work & is a recognised industry innovator with a plethora of awards after her name. This includes our very own Marketing society brand launch of the year which at the time she described as a highlight of her career! Others include being named a top 100 most effective marketer by Marketing Week, Drum Digerati twice & in the Hospital club 100 as one of the most influential in UK creative industries.
